The Grand Monastery is the culmination of four years of development. This final phase will in essence create it's own ski village built around the main ski lift within this prestigious resort. The complex is truly 'ski in, ski out' and has an incredible range of facilities, unsurpassed in the country - perfect for enjoying all year round. The 'Grand' is a natural continuation of the very popular Pamporovo Monastery development, completing the village environment.
A green, red and black run all finish mere feet away from the properties, ensuring that this complex offers unrivalled location.
Indeed, although many complexes claim to be close to the slopes we will simply state that we will show you our location on our viewing trips and also show the client where the others are located and let them decide. |

The resort is an approximate 1hr drive from the airport of Plovdiv (which is currently only open for package holidays during the ski-ing season) and approx. 2½hrs drive from Sofia and is widely regarded as the most 'upmarket' of all the Bulgarian resorts.
Pamporovo has an exclusive climate, featuring a mild winter with about 120 sunny days during the skiing period. The skiing season starts from mid December and lasts until mid April. The average air temperature is -3 ° C. The gentle profile of the mountain with its rounded slopes and summits makes Pamporovo particularly suitable for beginners. But there are also difficult ski runs like the Giant Slalom run which offers a challenge even for the expert skier.
The ski runs are maintained to a high standard and there are more than 100 highly qualified ski instructors, fluent in different languages to teach both beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders alike. |
